This has actually been ready and out for a couple of weeks now, but I haven’t had the chance to sit down and hammer out a blog post. Maybe I should do both of those at the same time in the future…hmm…
Well anyway, this episode is so far my favourite as far as music is concerned. Some awesome new stuff that sounds really good, as far as production is concerned. It all fits together quite nicely and it was a lot of fun to assemble.
Also, I mentioned in this podcast an article I wrote about Brad Sucks – well, it has reached publication and if you are a Carleton University student, you can pick up a copy there. My thanks to Brad Sucks for doing the interview, as well as the Rostrum Team for the help in the journey to get it ready for publication.
On a related note, Carelton University has a pretty good campus radio station, and they just revamped their website! Check them out at
http://www.ckcu.fm. In particular check out Audio Sensory Resusscitation (I’m sure I butchered that, sorry Mike!), hosted by Mike Mersereau.
Quick note about Brad Sucks’ Dirtbag, that came up in our interview. There was a remix of it that became quite popular, and was used in a trailer remix for Toy Story / Requiem for a Dream. It’s pretty neat! Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1qihwMN0JM
Okay, I think that’s all the house keeping that I needed to do. Enjoy the podcast!!
Brad Sucks – Dirtbag
Fake Elegance – Beautiful Morning
Tennessee Larue & Bits n Pieces Acoustic Band – Everybody Feels Da Blues
Rachel T. Mitchell – From the Lost & Found
Going Commando – Radio
Zach Borer – Every Time I Go
Micheal Joseph – If I were Wrong
Eliot – SIN
Hiran Ilangantileke – Too Far Gone
The Rest – Atlantis, Typhoon, Oh Our Savior, Starving Bears! Dance! Dance!

Hi Sylvain, I think I will probably end up playing more of your music in the future. It keeps ending up on my ipod 🙂

And after almost a year, I see your reply! So did you play anything else by me? I thought I should let you know that my album Staff Only No Vikings will soon be released as a LP on a new american microlabel named Dymaxion Groove. Support will be much appreciated! cheers

I actually haven't played anything from SONV – but I would be happy to help promote awareness of the new LP. Expect to see something soon!
