Hello all – so sorry about the lack of updates and a podcast last week – as I mentioned, spending a day in the hospital can make things hectic. Everything is okay now though! Even though there isn’t a podcast this week I thought I’d throw up some posts here.
I wanted to mention Blue Canoe Records, specifically. I think I heard them ages ago on Jamendo (http://www.jamendo.com/) while searching for music, but I didn’t really pay much attention to them. It wasn’t until today, when I was listening to an old episode of Rathole Radio (my new favourite CC podcast), that I really got into the mood to listen to the group.
It’s some very good jazz music, and for some reason it’s exactly what I need. I should be busy at work right now, but I decided to take ten minutes to write about Blue Canoe Records instead. It’s the kind of music that will help me get through my work day today. It’s just the right kind of relaxing music, even though it is sometimes a little frantic. I guess jazz is funny that way.
On an unrelated note, I am going on a short vacation for Easter weekend. I will be with my fiance in Birch Island, where there is little to no Internet connectivity – which is refreshing sometimes. I’m going to try to type up some posts to go up later this week, and I’m still debating on whether or not I should bring my laptop to record some podcast stuff. Until then, enjoy Blue Canoe Records!
