Free Music from the Ottawa Citizen

Here’s an unexpected source of free music: The Ottawa Citizen.  I didn’t know this, but apparently every week they have a free track from an indie artist.  I haven’t checked out any of the music yet, so I don’t know if these are legitimately good tracks or a conglomerate newspaper’s idea of “indie” music – but you can check it out here.

  1. Hey, thanks for the source.I checked it out, along with most of the songs available recently.I have no doubt its Independent music, but to me, it's not indie music if you know what I mean.

  2. I think I know what you mean – the "indie sound", right? I listened to the most recent track, and it's very heavy. I was actually thinking about the "indie sound" on my walk at lunch today, how indie doesn't necessarily JUST mean independant. It's a certain sound.Thanks for the comment!
