Sort of Weekly Airwave + Tokyo Police Club

I’m not numbering this Weekly Airwave, because I didn’t do a proper recording; but in case you missed Mike’s show yesterday on CKCU, I sent him this song to play:
Artist: Sean Fournier
Track: Broken Stereo (Acoustic Version)
Album: Oh My

“Broken Stereo” is a great song from a great EP – very much worth your time checking out.  If you want to hear more from Sean Fournier, try buying one of his full-length albums from his website.

Moving back to free music, I’m fairly excited about this project: Tokyo Police Club covered 10 songs in 10 days, one song from each year of the decade (2000-2010).  I didn’t know they were doing this, and – well, you know how much I love cover songs, right?

The best part is that while you can certainly opt to support the band by paying for the compilation album, they’ve also put the songs up for free download on Soundcloud.  You can get all the details from Chromewaves.net, which is where I learned all about it.  Some gems include their rendition of “Sweetness” by Jimmy Eat World, and “Party in the USA” (yes, that song).  Enjoy!
